Overall, the cuisine is very elegant and luxurious, so I highly recommend it!
Its convenient location in downtown Lisbon is also a major advantage.
I particularly recommend trying the cod risotto and ceviche here. There were some reviews saying it was a bit salty, but the seasoning was just right for me!
The risotto had a subtle cilantro aroma with a deep, exquisite flavor, and the ceviche perfectly blended freshness and umami, leaving me in awe. If you are looking for a delicious meal that is just the right amount of upscale in Lisbon, I highly recommend this place!
A beautifully appointed and aesthetically pleasing restaurant located on a semi-pedestrian street in the Barrio Alto neighborhood, near the Carmo Convent in Lisbon. Light colors and small tables arranged in the dining room, which also houses the open kitchen, welcome guests, as do the wait staff, who are very kind and professional, but also quick to crack a joke to raise a smile. The carefully prepared and flavorful dishes are brought to the table individually to be shared… like tapas.
The cover charge, as always, includes bread, butter, and olives. We then opted for meat dishes: polenta croquettes with grated aged cheese on top, a small sandwich with a typical meatball inside (the best dish of the evening; I didn't take a photo because it sold out quickly), and delicious grilled chicken topped with a citrus, chili, and garlic sauce, accompanied by baked potatoes.
The prices were more than fair for what we ate.
Overall, everything was super good and the staff were courteous and professional: it deserves to be in the Michelin guide from 2023.
We had a wonderful evening, enjoying inventive and comforting cuisine, beautifully complemented by Portuguese wines. Many thanks to Sidney for his recommendations!
